FAAN hands over ‘Obiedient’ passenger to police for obstructing flight

The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) has handed over to the police an Ibom Air passenger who obstructed its Friday evening flight.

The passenger had to be dragged off an Abuja-Lagos flight.
The man could be seen in a video that went viral announcing that the President-elect, Bola Tinubu, must not be sworn in on May 29.
Airport security men were invited to take him out of the plane.

As he was being carried off the aisle, he kept on saying, “Obidients, you’re here. They are doing this to me. Obidients, you’re here, I am naked. Obidients, you’re here, I am going naked.”
He was said to have delayed the flight for more than an hour.

The Nation quoted a FAAN official as saying, “After the passenger was taken out of the aircraft, he was handed over to the Airport Police Command.

“When matters such as this occur, the police usually involve the DSS and I think they (DSS) were duly briefed in case it is an act of terrorism or a threat to national security.”
