Gbenga Adeyinka

GBENGA Adeyinka 1st, one of Nigeria’s leading comedians and MC, has threatened to institute a legal suit against singer Tobechukwu ‘Peruzzi’ Okoh over his absence at the June 12 edition of Laffmattazz with Gbenga Adeyinka and friends.

Adeyinka, The Nation gathered, had instructed his lawyers to write Peruzzi after he failed to show up and perform at the event that was held in Akure on June 12, 2022.

The papers filed by Adeyinka’s lawyers implied that Peruzzi failed to show up and perform after the comedian had paid the sum of N2.5 million for his services.

It was also gathered that Adeyinka had incurred an extra N1.5million that covered the flight ticket, rooms, and transportation to and from the airport for Peruzzi.

In an attempt to get his response, Adeyinka refused to comment on the matter saying it is a legal matter and won’t want to distort the process.

However, sources maintained that the comedian was forced to instruct his lawyers to write Peruzzi so as to prove to his teeming fans and show attendees that he truly contracted the services of the DMW signee and save his reputation.

Peruzzi and his management refused to respond to calls and messages seeking to get his response on the matter.

Earlier in the week, The Nation had reported that Peruzzi was served a legal notice by Udomah Daniel Idoteyin over his failure to perform at a wedding ceremony in Uyo, Akwa Ibom after being fully paid.

Idoteyin took legal steps to seek redress and get back the sum of N3.670m performance fees from Peruzzi, who failed to show up or perform at his wedding after paying his fees.

Idoteyin called out Peruzzi for failing to refund the sum of Three Million, Six Hundred, and Seventy Thousand Naira he allegedly obtained.

Mohbad’s brother demands apology from actors for hacking into his account

Younger brother of the late Hip Hop singer ( Ileri-Oluwa Aloba), Adura Aloba, has demanded public apology from actors, Yomi Fabiyi, Damola Ayinde and others, for allegedly having unauthorised access to his social media Tiktok account and using same to disrepute him or face legal action.

Adura said: “The hacking of my personal Tiktok account had led to fraudulent posts, interactions, and messages being attributed to me without my knowledge or consent.

“Yomi Fabiyi posted a petition claiming to have communicated directly with me and there was evidence of this.

“However, the alleged messages were orchestrated by Damola Ayinde, who used my compromised account. Despite the evidence circulating that these malicious actions were the work of Damola Ayinde, Fabiyi has consistently continued to publicly malign me.

READ ALSO:

“He even visited the Lagos State Police Command in Ikeja, but has also refused to withdraw his statements or tender an apology. Instead, he has persisted in tarnishing my name, which I find to be malicious.

“My primary goal is to prove my innocence and expose the malicious actions of those who have tried to tarnish my reputation.

“I also demand that Mr. Yomi Fabiyi ceases his defamatory actions, retract his statements, and issue a public apology for the harm he has caused me.

“I stand firm in my pursuit of justice and fairness, and I appreciate the public’s support as I fight to clear my name.”
