Grief in Kano as Police Investigate Murder of Woman, Six Children
The Kano State Police Command has launched a comprehensive investigation into the killing of a woman and her six children in the Dorayi Chiranchi area of Kano metropolis, an incident that has sparked public outrage and renewed concerns over security in Kano State.
Police authorities confirmed that the victims were attacked by unknown assailants who allegedly forced their way into the family residence in broad daylight. The woman and her children reportedly sustained fatal injuries and were rushed to a nearby hospital, where they were confirmed dead.
In a statement, the police said the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) has taken over the case, with detectives working to establish the motive behind the attack, identify those responsible, and bring them to justice. Tactical teams have also been deployed to the area to prevent further violence and reassure residents.
