Hezbollah targets Netanyahu residence, fires 150 missiles into Israel from Lebanon

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s office reported that a drone targeted his private residence in Caesarea on Saturday, following a military statement that a drone from Lebanon had “hit a structure” in central Israel.

“A UAV (unmanned aerial vehicle) was launched by Hezbollah toward the prime minister’s residence in Caesarea.

The prime minister and his wife were not at the location, and there were no injuries in the incident,” said the statement from Netanyahu’s office.

The exact structure impacted earlier by the drone, as mentioned by the military, has not been confirmed as Netanyahu’s residence.

According to the Israeli military, three drones were launched from Lebanon, with two successfully intercepted.

Saturday also saw a wave of projectiles launched from Lebanon into northern Israel, triggering sirens across the region.

Meanwhile, Lebanese officials reported two fatalities from an Israeli airstrike in Jounieh, a coastal city north of Beirut. This marks the first airstrike in the area since hostilities escalated between Hezbollah and Israel last year.

The Lebanese Health Ministry stated that an “Israeli enemy raid” struck a vehicle on a highway connecting Beirut to northern Lebanon, while local media confirmed the incident on a key route.

The ongoing conflict between Israel and Hezbollah has intensified, with Israeli forces crossing into Lebanon last month. On Friday, the Israeli military announced the destruction of a Hezbollah regional command center in an airstrike.

In response, Hezbollah claimed responsibility for firing rockets at Haifa and nearby areas. The group also stated it had deployed “a swarm of explosives-laden drones” targeting an “air missile defense base” near Hadera in central Israel.
