Hisbah Arrests Man Found Inside “Ghana Must-Go” Bag in Married Woman’s House
Officers of the Hisbah Board in Kebbi State have arrested a man allegedly discovered hiding inside a “Ghana Must-Go” bag at the residence of a married woman in the Badariya area of Birnin Kebbi.
The arrest was confirmed by the Director of Sharia at the Kebbi Hisbah Board, Sirajo Kamba, in a statement issued to the News Agency of Nigeria (News Agency of Nigeria) on Tuesday.
According to him, residents of the area alerted Hisbah operatives around 12:15 a.m. on Monday, May 18, after noticing suspicious movement involving a man entering the woman’s residence late at night. The community reportedly suspected possible immoral conduct, prompting them to contact the authorities.
Kamba explained that operatives of the Hisbah Board, an agency under the Kebbi State Ministry of Religious Affairs, immediately responded to the distress call and moved to the location for investigation.
He said when officers arrived, they initially requested permission to search the house, but the married woman denied that anyone was inside. However, after further questioning, she later allowed a thorough search of the premises.
