How divorced wife kidnapped her own daughter, demanded N3 million ransom from ex-husband
A 25-year-old divorced woman has done the unthinkable, as she was said to have kidnapped her own daughter, told her ex-husband who is the father of the girl that she was missing and later disguised and demanded for the sum of N3 million ransom to free the girl.
The divorced wife, whose name was given as Rahma Suleiman, according to the Kano State Police Command, was said to have informed her former husband that their six-year-old daughter was missing and all efforts to find her proved abortive.
She later called the ex-husband that some unknown persons spoke to her through her phone that they kidnapped the child and were demanding for the sum of N3 million ransom.

This made the man, whose name was given as Kabiru Shehu, to report the matter at the police station, and policemen were said to have swung into action.
According to a statement by the state Commissioner of Police, Muhammed Gumel, posted on the Facebook wall of the command shortly after parading various crime suspects on Thursday, policemen arrested the lady at her hideout and rescued the girl.
During her interrogation, she was said to have confessed carrying out the abduction and demanding for the ransom from the girl’s father.
The statement added that she will be charged to court at the conclusion of the investigation.
