‘I Don’t Want To Die Because Of A Woman’ — Frank Edoho Opens Up
Popular Nigerian broadcaster and television personality Frank Edoho has spoken candidly about emotional trauma, masculinity, and the silent struggles many men endure, amid the public collapse of his marriage to Sandra Onyenucheya.
The veteran TV host made the emotional remarks during a recent interview on the YouTube show Outside The Box, where he revealed that one of his greatest fears is dying because of emotional pain caused by a woman.
“I don’t want to go to the gates of heaven and they ask me what killed me and they say it’s a woman. Whether that woman be my daughter, my wife, my mother, I don’t want that. I don’t want that to be my way out of this portal,” Edoho said.
The comments come days after his estranged wife, Sandra Onyenucheya, publicly accused him of infidelity, emotional abuse, financial recklessness, and neglect during their marriage.
The former Who Wants To Be A Millionaire host said he wants to be remembered for spreading happiness and positively impacting people’s lives rather than dying with emotional regrets.

“I want to die with a smile on my face saying that all the people I met, I tried to put a smile on their face, and to have the only regret that I wish I did more good. Not that I wish I had more time,” he stated.
Speaking further, Frank Edoho opened up about the emotional burden many men carry silently, noting that society often discourages men from expressing vulnerability.
“The task of manhood is very daunting. Men don’t speak. Men go through a lot. Whatever a man is going through, he’s just silent. He doesn’t say it. He holds it to himself. And some of them go to the grave with it,” he said.
The broadcaster also disclosed that he battled a severe emotional crisis privately for nearly two years without informing friends or colleagues.
“For two years, there was a couple of years back I was in a very dark hole but nobody knew. I just said this is a journey I have to make on myself to reorganise myself,” he revealed.
The emotional interview comes at a turbulent period in Edoho’s personal life following a wave of allegations made by his estranged wife on social media.
In a lengthy Instagram post, Sandra Onyenucheya accused the media personality of serial infidelity, emotional manipulation, financial irresponsibility, and abandoning family responsibilities during their marriage.
She further alleged that Edoho pressured her into terminating a pregnancy and claimed he maintained relationships with multiple women while they were together.
However, Frank Edoho denied the accusations and countered with claims that Sandra had an affair with Nigerian singer Chike.
According to him, he discovered evidence of the alleged relationship and even attempted to salvage the marriage for the sake of their children.
The controversy intensified online after a leaked voice note surfaced, allegedly capturing Edoho emotionally recounting his reaction after learning about the alleged affair.
Social media speculation also grew after fans noticed that Sandra and Chike shared the same romantic song on their Instagram stories around the same period.
Reality TV personality Tega Dominic, who was also mentioned in the allegations, has publicly denied having any romantic relationship with Edoho.
Earlier this week, the broadcaster confirmed publicly that his marriage to Sandra had ended and disclosed that they had been separated for nearly two years before the recent public drama.
This is Edoho’s second failed marriage. He was previously married to broadcaster Katherine Obiang before their divorce in 2011.
Despite the controversy surrounding his private life, many fans and social media users have reacted sympathetically to his comments about emotional pain and mental struggles among men.
