Ibadan sex worker arraigned for reportedly stabbing colleague
A 40-year-old commercial sex worker, Adeosun Adepeju, was on Tuesday arraigned before an Iyaganku Chief Magistrates’ Court in Ibadan for allegedly stabbing her colleague, Stella Mago, during an argument.
The altercation reportedly occurred in the early hours of May 21 along Ring Road in the Oyo State capital.
Police prosecutor, Corporal Helen Ojo, informed the court that an argument erupted between the two women, who are said to be engaged in the same line of work.
She alleged that during the confrontation, Adepeju stabbed Stella in the stomach with a pair of scissors.

The victim was said to have sustained serious injuries and was promptly taken to a hospital for treatment.
Adepeju was charged under Section 335 of the Criminal Code Laws of Oyo State, 2000, which pertains to assault occasioning harm.
However, she pleaded not guilty to the charge.
The presiding Magistrate M. M. Olagbenro granted her bail of of ₦300,000, with two sureties in like sum and subsequently adjourned to May 30 for further proceedings.
