Jaiz Foundation CEO Shuaib loses 80-year-old mum

Hajiya Sefinat Shuaib, mother of Chief Executive Officer of Jaiz Charity and Development Foundation, Dr Abdullahi Shuaib, is dead.

The entrepreneur died in the early hours of Monday January 9, 2023 at the National Orthopedic Hospital, Igbobi, Lagos.

Survived by five children, the late Hajiya Shuaib was a fashion designer and ran a restaurant at Iponri Shopping Complex before her retirement.

Her surviving children include Dr Abdullahi Shuaib (the third child and now the eldest), Abbas, Aliyu, Aishah and Musa.

Dr Shuaib’s elder siblings Mohammed Lawal Shuaib, passed away about 27 years ago and Alhaji AbdulMalik Shuaib, the second child, died on November 4, 2021.

A statement from the family said the Janazah for Hajiya Shuaib would hold today at the Muslim Burial Ground, Jafojo, near Markaz Agege, Lagos between 1pm and 2pm.
