Alhaji Isa Baba Buji, a delegate from Jigawa State at the ongoing special convention of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has died.
Bujim, who was vice chairman in charge of Jigawa South-West, reportedly slumped and died on Tuesday at the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, few hours before the presidential primary election of the APC.
The incident was said to have occurred in the morning at the Jigawa State Liaison Office in Abuja, while getting ready to go to the venue of the special convention.
Jigawa State APC Public Relations Officer, Bashir Kundu, confirmed the death of the delegate.
“He slumped at Jigawa State Liaison Office in Abuja and he was rushed to hospital and died before arriving at the hospital. When we arrived at the hospital, he was confirmed dead,” Kundu was quoted as saying by Daily Trust.
He deceased was said to have been conveyed to the hospital by the member of the House of Representatives representing Birnin Kudu/Buji Federal Constituency, Magaji Da’u Aliyu.
