Halima Adamu, the mother of renowned Hausa singer Dauda Kahutu, popularly known as Rarara, has regained her freedom.

She was released after nearly three weeks in captivity.

Halima was abducted on June 28 from her residence in Kahutu village, Danja LGA, Katsina State after some armed men stormed the enclave.

Rarara announced her release via his Instagram page early Wednesday morning.

He expressed profound gratitude to God for her safe return.

“ALHAMDULILLAH! ALHAMDULILLAH!! ALHAMDULILLAH!!! By the grace of God we have returned mama in peace of mind.

“I am very grateful to my Lord. Thank you my family and friends. I am grateful to my fans all over the world. Surely I don’t have enough thanks to you. May Allah reward you with blessings and may Allah keep our relationship,” Rarara stated.

He, however, did not disclose if any ransom was paid to secure his mother’s release. It is gathered that Halima is currently receiving medical attention at a hospital in Abuja.

Halima’s abduction on June 28 was marked by a silent raid on her village, with residents reporting no gunshots during the operation, which “took only a few minutes.” Reports suggest the abductors specifically targeted Rarara’s mother, leaving other residents unharmed.

Rarara, who was born in Katsina, gained widespread popularity for his performances during the All Progressives Congress (APC) campaign rallies in Kano before the 2019 general election.

In March 2023, his house in Kano was invaded and set ablaze by hoodlums.

Why I won’t leave my husband if I find him cheating – Actress Chinwe

Popular Nollywood actress Isaac Chinwe has shared her perspective on the sensitive topic of infidelity in marriage.  The actress, who recently welcomed a child, told Saturday Sun in an interview that cheating is not enough reason to end her marriage.

“I don’t think I can leave my husband just because he cheated. If you love me enough, you won’t cheat repeatedly. If it’s a one-time mistake and I find out, I might forgive him, hoping and expecting it won’t happen again. If you must cheat, keep a clean slate and don’t do it under my nose. If I find out, I will be upset. However, if he’s a serial cheat, I might leave him because I feel disrespected,” she said.

The actress explained that while she would be disappointed and hurt by infidelity, her decision to stay or leave would depend on several factors, including the severity of the offence, her husband’s sincerity, and the circumstances surrounding the cheating incident.

She said, “If my husband made a mistake and had an affair, he should be honest with me. His explanation, sincerity, and truthfulness would help me decide if he would do it again.”

Chinwe concluded by offering advice to other women on maintaining a healthy marriage. She stressed the importance of love, communication, and understanding. “Most men might cheat, and knowing this beforehand helps you balance your marriage. If you’re lucky to get a man who doesn’t cheat or if you have no evidence of him cheating, don’t look for trouble. Stop going over your man’s phone. Sometimes, women’s attitudes can push a man to cheat, so know how to balance it,” she advised.

Controversial singer Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, has criticised Nigerian celebrities for their lack of financial support towards the medical bills of music video director TG Omori, who is currently battling health issues.

According to reports, TG Omori recently underwent a kidney transplant in Lagos, which was unsuccessful as his body rejected the donated kidney from one of his brothers.

While some celebrities have posted messages of support on social media following the failed surgery, Portable have called them out for not contributing financially to his medical expenses.

In a video shared on his Instastory, Portable expressed his disappointment with the entertainment industry, labelling it as being filled with “fake love.”

He called out Nigerian celebrities for donating to controversial cross-dresser Bobrisky during his legal troubles but not extending the same generosity to TG Omori, who is gravely ill.

“TG Omori has a kidney problem, and celebrities are not donating money or a kidney for him, but Victor Osimhen and others donated money for Bobrisky, who adds no value. The industry is full of fake love,” Portable lamented.
