“Further investigations at her residence confirmed the absence of a designated waste storage facility. While the suspect claimed to be registered with the Private Sector Participant operator servicing the area, she was unable to provide any supporting evidence of such registration or payment for waste collection services,” Wahab said in a statement on X.

He also disclosed that the suspect would be prosecuted in accordance with the Lagos State Environmental Management and Protection Law of 2017 to ensure compliance with waste management regulations.
