Like ASUU, ASUP directs members to join nationwide strike
The Academic Staff Union of Polytechnics on Tuesday directed its members to join the ongoing nationwide strike.
NPO Reported earlier that the nationwide strike declared by the Nigerian Labour Congress and the Trade Union Congress commended on Tuesday after the organized Labour said on Monday the strike would go ahead.
A member of ASUP who informed the NPO Reports of the development said academic activities were going as at 11am on Tuesday when information came that members must join the strike.
A circular to that effect the action was in line with the decision of the NLC and the TUC which urged all affiliates to comply with the directive to Join the strike.
