LIVE: Voting commences in Lagos LG poll

Election has commenced in different parts of Lagos as the race to fill all elective posts existing in the 57 local governments and local council development areas of the state enters the final stage.
The election is taking place in 13,323 polling units in the state.
Electoral officers arrived at most polling booths as early as 8am waiting for voters. Some residents around the voting areas provided seats, tents and tables for the comfort of the electoral officers.

In other areas, officials of the state electoral umpire stayed under the trees, extended covered parts of shops away from the sun.
