Mark Angel paid Emmanuella N20,000 while making $160,000 monthly – Skit maker Igwe

Denilson Igwe, who is reportedly the co-founder of Mark Angel Comedy, has accused his colleague Mark Angel of making substantial earnings while only giving small amounts to him and the child actor, Emmanuella.

Mark Angel’s comedy became popular around 2014, primarily featuring three cast members: two men and a minor.

During a recent appearance on the Honest Bunch Podcast, Denilson Igwe revealed that he was the one who started the group, with Mark Angel handling their online presence.

Igwe claimed that Mark monetized their social media pages and kept most of the earnings for himself, giving only small monthly payments to Emmanuella.

Igwe also shared that Mark purchased a car from the earnings but pretended it was a gift.

He said, “I was the one that started Mark Angel Comedy. Mark was the elder brother of the house, working as a security guard in Port Harcourt while I was a cameraman for a man named Ifeanyi. I took his camera and, in our free time, we would make those comedies. Mark created a Facebook page, and I didn’t even know when it got monetized. Suddenly, in 2014, he bought a car and said it was a gift.”

He continued, “I hadn’t received any money at that time, and he would pay Emmanuella N20K monthly. In 2016, he gave me N50K, saying the comedy wasn’t making money, even though we were earning $160,000. If you talk about him, it’s either you die or have an accident.”
