NAF airstrikes destroy terrorists stronghold in Borno, kill many
The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has confirmed that multiple airstrikes carried out under Operation Hadin Kai have killed several terrorists and demolished their stronghold in Borno State.
In a statement issued Thursday in Abuja, NAF spokesperson Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame said the strikes were executed around 10:50 a.m. on Wednesday in the Bula Madibale and Gezuwa general area.
According to Ejodame, intelligence and surveillance operations had tracked unusual activity in the location, where about 45 insurgents were observed assembling. Many were seen arriving on motorcycles and bicycles from different directions.

Reconnaissance also revealed two terrorist flags hoisted at the site, confirming the enclave’s role as a rallying point for terrorists.
“Acting on this credible intelligence, the Air Component launched precision strikes, eliminating several terrorists, while the flagged structure and other hostile assets were destroyed,” Ejodame said.
He noted that the operation disrupted the ability of the insurgents to regroup or mount attacks on nearby communities, stressing that the military remains committed to restoring peace in the North East.
The Air Force reiterated that counterterrorism operations will continue as part of broader efforts to stabilize the region.
