Naira gains after CBN announced intervention plan
The naira appreciated against the dollar at the parallel market on Tuesday, exchanging at N925/$.
The naira had exchanged against the dollar at N956/$ on Monday.
Similar development was reported from the Investors & Exporters window, where it closed at N774.77/$ against 764.68/$ on Monday.
Operators at the parallel market said on Tuesday they bought and sold naira at “lN915/$ and N925/$, respectively.
The Central Bank of Nigeria on Monday announced plans to take critical measures to reverse the slide of the naira in the next few days, thereby resulting in significant losses to the speculators.
