Nigeria’s Super Falcons Named 2025 CAF Women’s National Team of the Year
Nigeria’s Super Falcons have been crowned the CAF Women’s National Team of the Year 2025, capping a spectacular year marked by dominance, resilience, and a historic 10th Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) title. The accolade was presented on November 19 at the 2025 CAF Awards held at the Mohammed VI Polytechnic University in Rabat, Morocco.

The Super Falcons’ triumph at WAFCON 2024 included a dramatic 3–2 comeback win over Morocco, cementing their reputation as Africa’s most successful women’s football team. Key performances from captain Rasheedat Ajibade, goalkeeper Chiamaka Nnadozie, and coach Justin Madugu were instrumental in the team’s record-extending continental success.
