Oil Mogul Allegedly Steals Lover’s Used Pad for Rituals: N10m, Cars, House Forged

A shocking scandal is currently unfolding in Lagos, Nigeria, after a popular billionaire businessman from the Southern part of the country (names withheld by the police) was allegedly caught with his lover’s used sanitary pad hidden inside his pocket—an act the terrified woman believes was for ritual purposes. According to multiple sources familiar with the matter, the wealthy man, said to be a highly influential player in the Oil and Gas ecosystem, had been in a relationship with the lady for over seven years. During that time, the businessman reportedly sponsored her lavish lifestyle, international trips, and even purchased a house for her in the highbrow Ikoyi area of Lagos.

Trouble began early this year when the businessman, who reportedly lives in the exclusive Banana Island, Lagos, visited the lady at her Ikoyi residence while she was on her monthly period. Sources claim that after the man left the house, the lady slept off. Upon waking, she made a disturbing discovery: the menstrual pad she had discarded in the waste bin inside her bathroom the previous night had mysteriously vanished. Suspicious and alarmed, she immediately contacted the billionaire and demanded that he return to the house. When confronted about the missing sanitary pad, the businessman allegedly denied taking it. However, the terrified woman reportedly searched his bag and, to her horror, discovered the soiled sanitary pad hidden inside one of his pockets. She questioned him why he took the pad, but sources close to the matter revealed that his explanation was deeply unsatisfactory. The woman told friends she believed the act was connected to ritual money-making or spiritual purposes—a common but illegal practice in some parts of Nigeria.

Shocked by the discovery, the lady said she ran and hid for her life, locking herself inside the house. Insiders further claim that after the incident, the billionaire allegedly moved to reclaim the house he had previously gifted her by attempting to forge ownership documents. The situation escalated when the visibly shaken lady checked her CCTV camera app installed on her phone. She observed that an ally of the oil mogul, together with other accomplices, had unlawfully gained access to her apartment. According to a petition she filed, the following items were stolen: a Range Rover, a 2024 Lexus RX350$50,000 (fifty thousand US dollars)N10 million (ten million Naira) in cash, and jewelry worth over £20,000 (twenty thousand pounds). Furthermore, she claimed that all the documents relating to the purchase of the Ikoyi property—including the deeds of assignment from a popular housing agent—were fraudulently forged and re-issued to bear the name of the oil mogul. She alleged that he had bribed his way to register the forged documents with the Federal Land Registry. The lady also stated that her mother and siblings have since been subjected to threats, harassment, and intimidation capable of causing a breach of peace.

Expressing fear for her safety, the frightened woman claimed that influence, money, and power are being used against her. She said her life was under serious threat—prompting her to flee abroad. From her undisclosed location overseas, she engaged lawyers to write to the Special Fraud Unit (SFU) of the Nigeria Police Force in Ikoyi, Lagos, demanding a thorough investigation and justice. It was reliably gathered that the Inspector General of Police, Olatunji Disu, was briefed by the Commissioner of Police in charge of the SFU, Eloho Edwin Okpoziakpo. Disu reportedly ordered that a discreet investigation be carried out to give the complainant justice, underscoring the police’s preparedness to give justice to both the high and low in society. Meanwhile, the businessman is said to have gone into hiding to avoid public exposure. Authorities have not yet made any arrests, and names remain withheld pending the outcome of the police inquiry.
