Osimhen pained by botched transfer deal  – Ighalo

Former Super Eagles forward, Odion Ighalo, has expressed his concerns regarding the ongoing transfer complications involving Victor Osimhen and his current club, Napoli.

Osimhen has found himself in a difficult position after failed attempts to secure moves to Chelsea and Al-Ahli. Despite widespread expectations that he would leave Napoli this summer, a transfer did not come to fruition before the European transfer window closed.

However, there remains a slim possibility of a last-minute deal to Saudi Arabia, where the transfer window remains open until September 2.

Reacting to the situation, Ighalo shared his thoughts on social media, lamenting the backlash surrounding Osimhen.

He revealed that during a recent conversation with the striker, he sensed the pain in Osimhen’s voice.

He wrote: “No human being is perfect and we have all made mistakes in life, but seeing comments about this young man from his own country makes me really sad, without even knowing what happened.

“I spoke to him and I can feel the pain in his voice, the way he’s been treated, this young man plays with heart and pain for his country, Hmmm it’s well, he will definitely be back stronger, we learn everyday in life.”
