Police Arrest Man Behind Violent Masquerade Terrorizing Community

The Anambra State Police Command has successfully identified and arrested a man allegedly responsible for a violent masquerade that has terrorized a community in the state, restoring safety and confidence among residents.

According to the police, the suspect used the cover of a traditional masquerade to carry out assaults, intimidation, and property destruction. The arrest followed intelligence-led operations supported by local vigilantes and traditional leaders, who provided crucial information that led to the suspect’s unmasking.

“No one has the right to hide under culture or tradition to threaten lives or breach public peace,” a police spokesperson stated, adding that investigations are ongoing.
