Portable plans return to school to strengthen music business skills
Controversial Nigerian singer, Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, has revealed plans to return to school — this time, to gain a deeper understanding of the business side of his music career.
The Zazu crooner, who already holds an Ordinary National Diploma (OND) from Kwara State Polytechnic, said his decision is driven by the desire to properly manage his record label, Zeh Nation, and other business interests without relying entirely on others.

Speaking about his motivation, Portable said:
“Even though I already have an OND from Kwara State Polytechnic, I still want to further my education so I can understand my music royalties and business deals better, especially for my record label, Zeh Nation.”
He explained that his aim is to build the knowledge and discipline needed to handle his finances, contracts, and royalties efficiently, ensuring his brand and platforms are professionally managed.
Portable emphasised that his return to school is not merely about obtaining another certificate but about acquiring practical skills to run his music enterprise like a seasoned entrepreneur.
The singer, known for his outspoken personality and energetic performances, said education would empower him to take full control of his career and secure a sustainable future in the entertainment industry.
