Princess demands Baba Ijesha’s name be added to sex offender register after release
Nigerian comedienne Damilola Adekoya, popularly known as Princess, has called on the Lagos State Government and the Department of Justice to immediately include actor Baba Ijesha on the sex offender register, following his reported release from prison.
Speaking during a live Instagram session on Saturday, November 15, 2025, Princess said:
“I want to urge the Lagos State Government and the Department of Justice to please publish his name in the sex offenders register. I will be waiting for an update.”
Addressing speculation that Baba Ijesha was pardoned, she clarified that the actor was released only after completing his term.
“No matter how much it hurt me, I have not hoarded any information. Baba Ijesha is now a convict… Nobody freed him,” she said, expressing relief that the public is now aware of his criminal conduct.

Princess earlier posted a video condemning child sexual abuse, urging the public to report cases and support victims.
The development comes after reports that Baba Ijesha, whose real name is Olanrewaju Omiyinka, regained his freedom following a Court of Appeal verdict overturning his conviction for sexually assaulting a minor.
On Friday, actor Yomi Fabiyi posted a celebratory message on social media, saying:
“You are now officially free and out. Baba Ijesha is not just back but better.”
A viral video also circulated showing the actor in a vehicle, stating that he needed time to recuperate.
Princess had accused Baba Ijesha of molesting her 14-year-old foster daughter, supported by CCTV footage she obtained. In July 2022, he received a 16-year prison sentence for sexual assault, indecent treatment of a minor, and related offences.
