Protest: Oba of Benin urges Nigerians to be patient with govt
The Oba of Benin, Oba Ewaure II, has called on Nigerian youths to cancel the planned protest scheduled for August 1, 2024. In a statement signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr. Osaigbovo Iguobaro, the revered monarch emphasized that improvement takes time and urged patience from the citizens.
The Oba appealed to those frustrated by the current economic conditions to give the Federal Government more time to implement its policies, which are intended to ease the present hardships. “For things to get better, it has to be tough for a while,” he noted.
