RCCG Pentecost Mega Parish celebrates 26 years of growth, grace
The Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pentecost Mega Zonal Parish, popularly known as The Solution Centre, will this Sunday celebrate its 26th anniversary with a special thanksgiving service, music, and a joyful homecoming of members, past and present.
Located at No. 5 Chief Davies Street in Ijako-Sango, Ogun State, the church has grown from a modest beginning into a vibrant congregation and now serves as a Zonal Headquarters within the RCCG mission.
A statement by Olufowobi Olusesan for the publicity subcommitee quoted the Anniversary Planning Committee Chairman, Brother Kayode Adetonwa, as saying the event is more than a celebration—it is a moment of deep reflection and gratitude.
“This anniversary is a testimony of God’s faithfulness – past, present, and future,” Adetonwa said. “As Lamentations 3:22-23 reminds us, ‘Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed… great is your faithfulness.’”
The commemorative service will feature testimonies from members and a sermon by the current Pastor-in-Charge, Senior Pastor Gabriel Ojo. Pastor Ojo is no stranger to the congregation, having overseen the parish during a pivotal period in which the construction of the original church auditorium was initiated.
Under his current leadership, the church is undergoing a major transformation. The auditorium is being reconstructed to reflect its upgraded status and expanded role, with seating capacity expected to exceed 800 worshippers.
“We want our past members and pastors to see what we are building,” Pastor Ojo said. “This reconstruction is a clear sign that we are not resting on our oars. We are expanding, improving, and preparing the church for the next phase of its journey.”
The reconstruction project, he added, is not just about aesthetics, but about making room for spiritual and numerical growth, as the church continues to welcome more worshippers from far and near.
The Sunday celebration is expected to attract a large turnout, including former leaders and long-time members who have played a role in the church’s journey over the past two decades and six years.
Looking ahead, Pastor Ojo affirmed the church’s commitment to growth in all dimensions—spiritual, communal, and individual.
“We want to position the church for greater spiritual impact, stronger community relevance, and to raise successful members in every area of life,” he said.
From its early days as a small parish to its current status as a Mega Zonal Parish, RCCG Pentecost Parish continues to live up to its name as a Solution Centre—a place where lives are changed, faith is nurtured, and purpose is discovered.
