Riot police shooting in Lagos sparks off violence
A report just hitting our newsroom says that violence has erupted in the Ijesha area of Lagos State as anti-riot policemen fired gunshots and tear gas to disperse a crowd of alleged hoodlums in an attempt to make some arrests.
News Direct sources say vehicle owners abandoned their cars fleeing for dear life to avoid being hit by stray bullets during the commotion.
