Gunmen have invaded Pinau Market in Pinau community of Wase Local Government Area of Plateau State, killing seven and injuring many villagers.
Our correspondent reports that the armed men stuck while the market was bubbling with activities on Sunday evening.
Daily Trust had on December 8, reported how residents of the some villages complained over the influx of bandits in some of the villages of Wase LGA.
The residents had also alleged that there were informants within communities working with the bandits.

Shapi’i Sambo, who is the Wase youth leader, confirmed the latest attack to Daily Trust, describing the incident as unfortunate.
The youth leader narrated that the gunmen stormed the market and started shooting sporadically.
Another source from the area told our correspondent that in the last 10 days, gunmen had abducted many people in the area and collected millions of naira as ransom.
He said, “The collect ransom in millions. Sometime they collect N2 million and sometime N5 millions. Last three days, they collected N5million before releasing a man whom they abducted some days back.”
Spokesman of the state police command, ASP Ubah Gabriel, did not respond to calls and SMS when our correspondent tried to reach him over the development.
