Tinubu Appoints Ambassadors to US, France, UK, Turkey to Boost Nigeria’s Diplomacy
Abuja, Nigeria — President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has officially unveiled four new ambassadors to key global capitals, including the United States, France, the United Kingdom, and Turkey, signaling a strategic move to strengthen Nigeria’s diplomatic presence and international relations.
The announcement, confirmed by the President’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, follows the Senate’s confirmation of 68 ambassadorial nominees, several of whom had been awaiting deployment. The selected ambassadors for these critical postings are:

In his directive to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, President Tinubu instructed that the host countries be formally notified and all diplomatic protocols observed, emphasizing the administration’s commitment to reinforcing Nigeria’s foreign policy and enhancing bilateral cooperation.
Analysts note that these appointments come after prolonged vacancies in Nigeria’s diplomatic missions, which had weakened the country’s international influence.
