Imo: Tribunal dismisses LP petition, upholds Uzodimma’s election
The Imo State Governorship Election Petitions Tribunal has upheld the election of Hope Uzodimma of the All Progressives Congress (APC) as the governor of Imo State.
Delivering its ruling in Abuja, the tribunal dismissed the petition filed by the Labour Party (LP) and its governorship candidate, Athan Achonu.

Justice Oluyemi Akintan-Osadebay, speaking on behalf of the three-man tribunal, stated that Uzodimma’s election complied substantially with the provisions of the Electoral Act.
The tribunal further emphasized that the Labour Party’s petition failed to provide sufficient evidence regarding allegations of over-voting and non-compliance with the Electoral Act.
