Tribunal sacks Edo PDP Rep; declares APC’s candidate as winner
The Election Petition Tribunal in Benin, Edo State, has nullified the election of Destiny Enabulele of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) as the member representing Ovia South West constituency in the State House of Assembly.
According to the results recorded by INEC, Destiny Enabulele was declared the winner after scoring a total vote of 8,061 votes , while Sunday Aghedo of the APC got 7,946 votes. Omoregbe Peter of the LP scored 1,649.

Aghedo had challenged the declaration of Enabulele as the winner of the election by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
The Tribunal, having ruled that the election was filled with irregularities and malpractices declared Sunday Aghedo of the All Progressives Congress (APC) as the rightful winner of the election held on 15 March, 2023.
The Tribunal added that the evidence presented by Aghedo and the APC was more credible.
