She revealed the emotional toll that false news online had taken on her mental health, describing how she once nearly poisoned herself in response to a hurtful rumour.

Tiwa Savage opens up on craziest thing she did for love

Nigerian music sensation Tiwa Savage has spoken about her view on love; the level she could go as well as her unstoppable work ethic, and evolving life’s journey.

She gave the insights during a candid interview on Beat FM to promote her latest single, Forgiveness.

When asked about her most daring act for love, Tiwa didn’t hold back. “If I’m into someone, I’m really into that person,” she confessed.

Reflecting on the craziest thing she’s ever done for love, she said, “I’ve pulled up at a guy’s house unannounced. I may not be as savage as people think.”

Speaking on her career, Tiwa described the fierce drive that’s fueled her rise to fame. “I’m a beast when it comes to my work.I’ll call you twenty times if something needs to get done. If you give me a reason it’s not, I’ll find a way to make it happen.”

“That’s where the savagery kicks in,” she added, hinting at the unwavering dedication that has kept her at the top of the industry.

“She’s gone through the fire, and I am just getting out of it. It’s like a reinvention. I am coming out stronger in terms of love, heartbreak, just where I am in life.”

Reflecting on her journey, she shared, “I’m at a stage where I am starting to accept certain things, set boundaries, and just be happy with what I have achieved. This is the rebirth of Tiwa Savage.”

As a role model, Tiwa acknowledged the responsibility that comes with her public image. “It’s something I had to embrace,” she admitted.

“A friend of mine told him that I wanted to leave him and go into prostitution. That when I left that night, I went to sleep in a Senator’s house with Fife. When he told me, my mouth was left open. Then I sent him a picture; God gave me grace; I didn’t know how I did it. I did a recording of the time and the date, were on my phone for the video.

“I recorded it when we got to where we would sleep. When we left, I didn’t have up to N10,000 in my account, but I decided this was it. I had nothing; all my jewelry was taken away, and I fainted with that. I was wondering where to start from. I cried so much that day because I didn’t have money to get an accommodation”.

The couple was embroiled in a paternity dispute over their daughter with Saheed requesting a DNA test in 2021.

However, he later apologised and acknowledged the daughter belonged to him in a 2022 video.
