A green-eyed wife allegedly knifed her hubby after discovering snaps of him in bed with a “younger woman”, failing to realise it was actually her.

The woman, known as ‘Leonora R’, was nicked after neighbours tipped off the police about the screaming and shouting from the home she shares with her partner in Cajeme, Sonora, Mexico, as per reports.

Her husband, only referred to as ‘Juan N’, was found with multiple stab wounds on his arms and legs. Leonora reportedly stumbled upon the photos on Juan’s mobile and mistook them as evidence of his infidelity.

During the violent assault, she is also reported to have thrown insults at him, with her husband eventually managing to snatch the knife away, reports the Mirror.

Juan then clarified that the risqué photos were from their early days together, leading Leonora to recognise her younger self. He informed the police that he had discovered the snaps in an old email and moved them to his phone.

The case was reportedly handed over to the Public Ministry of State Attorney General’s Office. The extent of the victim’s injuries remains unclear, but he was rushed to hospital.

Meanwhile, a woman who stabbed her husband in the back and then watched him die was sentenced to life in prison.

Christine Rawle, 70, claimed she was a victim of domestic violence when she attacked her husband Ian Rawle, 72, at their home near Braunton, Devon. The woman told police that during their 29-year marriage he had been cruel, controlling and violent towards her.

However, a jury at Exeter Crown Court didn’t believe her story and found her guilty of murder after a trial. A judge gave her a life sentence with a minimum term of 15 years and 153 days.

The judge said: “It was a wholly unprovoked attack when he was completely defenceless.” He also stated Ian Rawle was “in no way the serial domestic abuser” his wife tried to portray him as. Instead, she ignored his pleas for help and chillingly watched him die
