Workers trapped as seven-storey building collapses in Banana Island Lagos
A seven-storey building on Wednesday evening collapsed in the Banana Island area of Lagos State.
There are fears that some construction workers could be trapped under the uncompleted building.

The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) in Lagos State confirmed the incident in a terse statement.
“A report of a storey building under construction was just received at Banana Island. Workers trapped. We are mobilising to respond,” the statement said.
Also, Deputy Director, Public Affairs Ministry of Physical Planning and Urban Development, Mukaila Sanusi, said, “An unapproved 7-floor building under construction collapsed.”
