Zaria prominent district head dies after participating in Sallah durbar
The Zazzau Emirate in Kaduna State has lost a prince and a prominent district head, Aminu Umar.
He died after participating in all the Sallah durbar and other Eid-el-Fitr activities.
Umar, who was also the Walin Zazzau and District head of Ikara, is a descendant of late Emir Dalhat from the Barebari ruling dynasty of Zazzau Emirate.
He was onetime Chief Executive Officer of the Kaduna State Water Board.

As Walin Zazzau, late Engineer Umar was one of the most senior titleholders in the emirate.
Confirming the death in a statement, Abdullahi Aliyu Kwarbai, Media and Publicity, head of Zazzau Emirate, said the deceased had participated in the Hawan Daushe sallah durbar in Zaria on Friday and was one of the district heads that paid the Emir of Zazzau, Mallam Ahmed Nuhu Bamalli, Sallah homage.
Late Walin Zazzau died leaving behind wives and many children.
He has since been buried, according to Islamic rite, at Amaru in Zaria city.
