Bandits abduct 11 residents, including nursing mother, in fresh attack on Kano community
Residents of Tsamiya village in Shanono Local Government Area of Kano State have suffered another violent assault as bandits abducted 11 persons, including a nursing mother, during an attack over the weekend.
Confirming the incident, Chairman of the Faruruwa Community Security Committee, Yahaya Bagobiri, said the attackers invaded the village on Sunday evening despite prior alerts issued to security operatives.

According to Bagobiri, villagers received intelligence reports around 7 p.m. that the bandits were advancing from Kogari towards Tsamiya. Although the community promptly notified security personnel, no preventive action was taken due to what he described as a lack of operational clearance.
He lamented the incident, stating:
“The bandits abducted 11 persons, including a nursing mother. The remaining abducted victims include three married men and seven youths.”
Efforts to reach the spokesperson of the Kano State Police Command, CSP Abdullahi Haruna, were unsuccessful as his phone was switched off at the time of filing the report.
This latest incident follows another attack just hours earlier in Yankamaye village, Tsanyanwa LGA, where bandits killed a woman and kidnapped three others, heightening concerns over rising insecurity across Kano communities.
