Comedian AY confirms separation from wife after 20 years

Comedian AY confirms separation from wife after 20 years
Ayo Makun, a well-known Nigerian comedian, and his wife, Mabel, have split up after 20 years of “friendship/marriage”.
On Sunday, the comedian revealed the development via Instagram.
He stated that he was no longer capable of entertaining the public with “deep personal family issues.”
He wrote, “Many people believe that staying silent simply means that one is incapable of dealing with issues. Projecting a negative narrative against someone who is not struggling to defend himself doesn’t mean he is weak. Some of us are just logical enough to understand the difference between opinions, values, beliefs, and facts.
“The personality and ability that I possess simply confirm that I have reached that stage in my life where I can not be entertaining the public with deep personal family issues. They just might be too much to handle concerning the individuals involved. Not even when I have a grown-up daughter who has access to social media. Her mental health needs to be protected from seeing things she can not be proud of online.

“Yes! Without compromising my family, I have found myself doing some things that I am not proud of today. It is one thing to watch my friendship/marriage of 20 years slip off my hands, but it’s another thing for the parties involved to understand how to appropriate the blame in a space that is designed for most women to always play the victims and win. I can tell you for free that no one is completely innocent enough to cast stones.
“Presently, I am loving the way that lies about me in all these blogs are travelling faster than the truth. But my painful truth will eventually beat away all the lies.”
Also, in a post on her Instagram page on Sunday, Mabel said she had stopped reacting to disrespect.
She wrote, “Distance is my new response to disrespect. I don’t react, I don’t argue. I don’t dive into the drama. I just remove myself.”
Ayo and Mabel got married in November 2008, and they are blessed with two children.

Tuface ignores mother’s call, spotted shopping with Natasha
Nigerian music legend Innocent Idibia, better known as 2Baba, has sparked further discussions about his relationship with Natasha Osawaru, Deputy Majority Leader of Edo state House of Assembly.
This comes amid concerns from the singer’s family regarding his whereabouts and his involvement with the lawmaker.
A now-viral video shows the pair casually browsing hair products, just days after reports emerged that 2Baba’s family had filed a petition with the Department of State Services (DSS), claiming he had gone missing.
His mother, Rose Idibia, also made a public appeal, urging Natasha to distance herself from the singer, especially since his divorce from Annie Idibia has not been finalized.
The mother, who claimed that her son may not be acting in his right senses, urged the lawmaker to remove the “beads you put on his hand and on his neck”.

“Please Natasha, the beads you put on his hand and on his neck, remove them and free him.”
The new video circulating on social media showed the singer and the lawmaker casually shopping for hair products together.
The controversy follows another viral video from Thursday, in which 2Baba was seen proposing to Natasha.
He was filmed presenting the lawmaker with a ring and sealing their love with a long, tender embrace.
Newstrends reports that Natasha is the granddaughter of billionaire Gabriel Igbinedion.
She is a politician and member of the Edo State House of Assembly representing the Egor Constituency under the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
The lawmaker was elected in April 2023 and is from the Egor Local Government Area of Edo State.

Tuface’s mother begs Natasha to let her son go (Video)
Mrs Rose Idibia, the mother of Nigeria’s popular artiste, Innocent Idibia, aka Tuface, has called on Ms Natasha Osawaru, Tuface’s new heartthrob who recently accepted his marriage proposal to free her son.
In a video by one Becky Madojuemu on her Facebook page, Tuface’s mother is seen comfortably seated in her sitting room imploring the Deputy Majority leader of the Edo State House of Assembly and granddaughter of Chief Gabriel Osawaru Igbinedion, the Esama of Benin to hands off her son.
Tuface’s mother stopped short of saying that Natasha had charmed her son, as she appealed to Nigerian women to beg the Edo lawmaker to free her him. She then asked Natasha to remove the beads she put on her son’s hand and neck and free him.
According to her, Tuface is going through divorce process and is not in his right senses. “I know my son. This is not him,” she maintained.
She said:
Good evening Nigerians. My name is Mrs Rose Idibia. This message is for Ms Natasha Osawaru from Edo State.. I am calling on all mothers in Nigeria to help me beg her to free my son. My son is going through divorce process and is clearly not in his right senses now. I know my son. This is not him. Please Natasha, the bead you put on his hand and on his neck remove them and free him.

That Tuface’s mother is coming out with this appeal on Valentine’s Day is significant enough. Recall that the highly -talented artiste is embroiled in a messy divorce process with his estranged wife, Annie Macaulay, who, according to sources is currently facing mental health challenges.
No sooner had the news of the divorce gone viral, with many Nigeria’s taking sides with either Tuface or Annie, than Tuface was seen in a video with Natasha.
Tuface himself confirmed his amorous relationship with the Edo-state born lady when he appealed to Nigerians to beg Natasha to marry him.
This triggered a flurry of reactions, as many accused Natasha of being a home breaker and the cause of the collapse of the marriage between the muscian and Annie.
But the Afrobeat star came out in another video to defend his new lover, saying she had nothing to do with the collapse of his marriage, as he described her as “a young, brilliant, amazing woman.”
Tuface said: “Hon. Natasha has been dragged, she has been called all sorts of names, she has been labeled as a home breaker.
“She is a young brilliant amazing woman and she had nothing to do with what is happening between me and Annie in our marriage.”
He continued, “Yes I love her, she is amazing, she is cool, I want to marry her.”
