Afrobeats superstar Davido has publicly denied claims of fathering a 12-year-old girl, responding to a recent appeal for a DNA test from the teenager who alleges he is her father. The young girl, Mitchelle Anuoluwapo Adeleke, went online to request a DNA test, explaining that classmates have teased her since she was six over unresolved questions about her parentage. She stated that confirming her paternity is important as she navigates adolescence and personal identity.

In a series of posts on X (formerly Twitter), Davido dismissed the allegations, saying multiple DNA tests conducted across five medical facilities showed he is not her biological father. He wrote, “After 5 DNA tests … she dey crase … her and her mom better leave me alone and go find her papa,” insisting he has never had personal contact with the girl’s mother outside of the DNA verification process.

The girl’s mother, Ayo Labinjoh, contested Davido’s statement, claiming only one DNA test was conducted and questioning its validity. The teenager also expressed that the singer’s comments left her feeling bullied and emotionally distressed, drawing attention to the sensitive nature of celebrity-related paternity disputes.
