Fire gutted a section of popular Agbeni Market in Ibadan, Oyo State, on Sunday morning, destroying goods and other property worth millions of naira.
The market is the biggest for the sale of fabrics in the state.
The fire reportedly started around 4:30am.

He promised to make further information available in due course.
General Manager of Oyo State Fire Services, Yemi Akinyemi, said the agency got a distress call on the incident around 4:30am.
He said a security man at an adjoining bank placed the distress call to the fire service.
Akinyinka said no life was lost to the fire and thanked the CBN Fire Service for giving access to Oyo State Fire Service to use its fire hydrant to put out the fire.
The cause of the fire incident is unknown at present.
A source attributed the cause of the fire to power surge. Another said it was caused by petrol kept in one of the shops.
