Gunmen Kill Businesswoman’s Son, Abduct Daughter In Kwara

Gunmen yesterday in Ilorin, the Kwara State capital, shot dead the son of a businesswoman identified as  Musa AbdulGaniy and abducted her daughter.

Daily Trust Saturday gathered that the incident happened around 3am when the gunmen invaded the resident of the woman, popularly known as Iya Mistura at Alagbado, Ilorin West Local Government Area of the state.

According to a source, the abductors stormed the house and were unable to gain entry but managed to shoot the victim from the fence.

“They had earlier managed to shoot the son, Musa, from the fence. But when they could not find the woman, who was their target, they kidnapped her daughter, Mistura,” the source added.

Our correspondent who attended the janazah and burial of the late victim at the Muslim cemetery, Osere, Ilorin on Friday, learnt that the abductors are demanding N100million ransom.

Several calls and text messages to the public relations officer of the Kwara State police command, Okasanmi Ajayi on the issue were neither answered nor replied as at the time of filing this report.
