Gunmen kill one, abduct chief, wife, six others in Abuja
Gunmen have attacked Mpape community in the Bwari Area Council of the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, killing a resident and abducted eight others, including the chief of the GRA community.
It was learnt that the incident took place around 9pm in the GRA area on the outskirts of the bustling town on Wednesday, where the attackers numbering about 30, raided at least six houses, including the chief’s palace.

A resident, Josephine David, said the chief, Peter David, who was her brother, was abducted alongside his wife and three children.
There were no comments on the incident by the FCT Police Command and other security agencies in the territory.
Recall that Mpape is a short distance from the highbrow Maitama area of Abuja.
