Israeli Air Strikes Kill at Least 32 Palestinians in Gaza
At least 32 Palestinians have been killed following intense Israeli air strikes across the Gaza Strip, according to Palestinian rescue and medical officials.
The strikes, which occurred overnight and into the early hours, reportedly hit several residential areas and other locations across Gaza. Emergency responders said dozens of people were injured, with many victims rushed to already overstretched hospitals.
Local rescue teams said civilians, including women and children, were among those killed. Search-and-rescue operations continued in some neighbourhoods as crews worked through rubble to reach people trapped under collapsed buildings.

The Israeli military said the air strikes targeted militant positions and infrastructure, stating that the operations were aimed at preventing attacks on Israeli territory. Israel has consistently maintained that its actions in Gaza are carried out in response to security threats from armed groups operating in the enclave.
The latest strikes come amid renewed hostilities between Israel and armed factions in Gaza, raising fears of further escalation. Humanitarian organisations have repeatedly warned about the growing impact of the conflict on civilians, as essential services in Gaza face severe strain.
Calls for de-escalation and a ceasefire have intensified internationally, but fighting has continued, keeping the region on edge.
