Through his Chief Press Secretary, Omofa John, he stated: “The bandits attacked, but they were resisted and repelled by our security team. There were casualties — one hunter and one resident — due to stray bullets. The Joint Task Force has intensified operations to restore public confidence in the area.”
Authorities urged the public to refrain from spreading unverified information on social media, warning that offenders would face legal consequences.
Security units and local vigilantes are currently patrolling surrounding bushes, with normalcy reportedly restored under strict monitoring. Operations are ongoing to ensure lasting security in the affected area.
