Governor of Oyo State, Engr. Seyi Makinde
NATIONAL President of the Association of Water and Borehole Drillers, Mr Micheal Ale has called for the urgent abolition of N30,000 as permit fee for bore drilling in Oyo State.
Ale who described the newly introduced policy in the state as not only obnoxious but a deliberate attempt by the Governor Seyi Makinde-led government to worsen the poverty stricken condition of Oyo people.
The National President in a statement at the weekend said the rising cost of living ocassioned by the skyrocketing prices of petrol, diesel, gas and other commodities were already making life difficult for the people and they do not need any other hostile policies.

He advised Governor Makinde to cancel the collection of N30,000 permits in the best interest of the citizenry, noting that government was supposed to implement policies that are people-oriented policies and not hardship for them.
