Ondo court remands man for threatening to kill father
A 30-year old man, Atiaro Emmanuel, has been arraigned before an Iwaro-Oka Magistrates’ Court for allegedly threatening to k!ll his father, Atiaro Mattew.
The police arraigned the defendant before Magistrate B.A Ikusika on a four-count charge.
According to the prosecution, the defendant committed the offence on November 12, 2024 at about 06:00am at Iwornin Quarters, Oka Akoko, in the Oka Akoko Magisterial District

The prosecutor, Inspector Kehinde Emmanuel told the court that the defendant threatened to k!ll his father with a machete.
The offence contravened Section 86 of the Criminal Code Cap 37 Vol.1 Laws of Ondo State of Nigeria 2006.
Kehinde prayed for an adjournment to enable him study the case file.
The defendant, who had no counsel, pleaded not guilty to the counts when the charge was read to him.
In his ruling, Magistrate B.I Ikusika, ordered the remand of the defendant and adjourned the case till August 6, 2025.
