Plateau: 27 victims of bandits’ attack set for mass burial
Grief-stricken residents of a Plateau community are preparing for the mass burial of 27 people—among them women and children—who lost their lives in a brutal attack by suspected bandits last Tuesday night in Riyom Local Government Area.
The victims, who suffered fatal injuries when the gunmen stormed the area under the cover of darkness, had been transported to a nearby hospital for identification and post-mortem procedures. Their bodies are now being returned to their community for burial rites.

Traditional leaders, local residents, and humanitarian agencies have gathered to oversee the burial arrangements and offer support to the bereaved.
