Convener of RevolutionNow and publisher of SaharaReporters, Omoyele Sowore, and some activists have stormed the head office of National Broadcasting Commission in Abuja to register their disapproval of the query issued to Channels Television.
The NBC had queried Channels Television over an interview it granted Benue Governor Samuel Ortom.
Ortom, who was a guest on the Sunrise Daily on Tuesday, had accused President Muhammadu Buhari of trying to ‘Fulanise’ the country. He also faulted the President’s decision to review grazing reserves across the country. This has prompted the NBC to issue the TV with a query on Thursday.
But Sowore, who adorned a black top with “Justice” boldly written on it with other activists, stormed the NBC office and stood at the entrance of the commission’s building.
Some workers of the commission were seen in a video shared online querying the presence of Sowore and others at the entrance.
They also cautioned them to stop recording, stating it was prohibited.
But Sowore said, “We are here because of Channels TV; we are on solidarity with them.”
