Presidency: Tinubu Healthy as Türkiye Visit Continues After Minor Stumble
The Presidency has reassured Nigerians that President Bola Tinubu is fit, focused, and fully in charge of his duties, despite a brief stumble during an official engagement in Türkiye.
In a statement issued on Tuesday, presidential aides dismissed concerns over the President’s health, explaining that the incident was minor and did not affect Tinubu’s schedule or performance throughout the ongoing Türkiye state visit.
According to the Presidency, President Tinubu has continued to participate actively in high-level bilateral meetings, official receptions, and strategic discussions aimed at strengthening Nigeria–Türkiye relations, particularly in trade, defence, energy, infrastructure, and investment.

Government officials described such claims as misleading, stressing that Tinubu remained alert, energetic, and focused on advancing Nigeria’s economic and diplomatic interests.
Officials further noted that the state visit remains on course, with all scheduled engagements proceeding as planned. The Presidency urged Nigerians to rely on credible and official sources for accurate information regarding the President’s activities abroad.
The Türkiye visit forms part of Tinubu’s broader economic diplomacy agenda, aimed at attracting foreign investment and strengthening strategic partnerships to boost Nigeria’s economy.
