Suspected Kidnappers, Killers of Edo Doctor Arrested in Auchi Hospital
BENIN CITY — Two suspected kidnappers, alleged to be responsible for the abduction and killing of a medical doctor, Abu Ibrahim, and his brother, Abu Tahir, have been arrested at the Edo State University Teaching Hospital, Auchi, in Etsako West Local Government Area of Edo State.
The suspects were apprehended in the early hours of Sunday after the doctor reportedly recognised them at the hospital. They had allegedly visited the facility to check on one of their accomplices who was receiving treatment at the emergency ward when Ibrahim identified them as some of those involved in his abduction.
The two brothers were said to have been kidnapped in January at Igbira Camp in Auchi, close to a military barracks. Abu Tahir was reportedly killed by the abductors, while Abu Ibrahim survived the ordeal.
