Weststar MD, Ebere Anenih, appointed to Eurocham Nigeria Board
Weststar Associates Limited, the authorised general distributor of Mercedes-Benz in Nigeria, has announced the appointment of its Managing Director, Mrs. Ebere Anenih, to the Board of Directors of Eurocham Nigeria — the European Business Chamber in Nigeria.
Eurocham Nigeria serves as a vital platform for enhancing collaboration, trade, and investment between European and Nigerian businesses.
The Chamber promotes sustainable policies, fosters cross-border partnerships, and supports knowledge exchange among its members.
The new appointment, announced by Eurocham Nigeria, also includes Mr. Jochen Stolle of Julius Berger Nigeria Plc.
In addition, Mr. Olakunle Olusanya was named Vice President, joining Mr. Frederik Klinke, CEO of APM Terminals, in the Chamber’s executive leadership.
Reacting to her appointment, Mrs. Anenih said she was honoured to join the Chamber’s board and contribute to its mission of strengthening trade and industrial cooperation between Europe and Nigeria.
“This appointment provides an opportunity to deepen the long-standing partnerships that continue to drive industrial development and shared growth across both regions,” she said.
Weststar Associates noted that Anenih’s inclusion on the board aligns with the company’s strategy of reinforcing bilateral relations with Europe.
As the authorised distributor of Mercedes-Benz vehicles in Nigeria, Weststar has longstanding partnerships with leading European organizations — Mercedes-Benz AG and Daimler Truck AG, both based in Germany.
Through these relationships, the company has supported the transfer of advanced European engineering and business practices to Nigeria, helping to develop a modern automotive ecosystem.
A spokesperson for Weststar Associates described her appointment as a strategic milestone:
“Our business is built on enduring European partnerships. Mrs. Anenih’s appointment reflects our long-term commitment to strengthening industrial cooperation, expanding trade, and fostering innovation between Europe and Nigeria.”
Eurocham Nigeria continues to play a central role in uniting European enterprises and Nigerian stakeholders in pursuit of shared economic growth.
With Mrs. Anenih’s appointment, Weststar Associates is poised to make greater contributions to the Chamber’s advocacy for fair business practices, better investment conditions, and sustainable bilateral growth.
Weststar congratulated Mrs. Anenih on what it described as a “well-deserved recognition” and reaffirmed its commitment to supporting Eurocham Nigeria’s objectives of fostering strong economic partnerships between the European Union and Nigeria.
