Veteran Nigerian music star Innocent Idibia, popularly known as 2Face or 2Baba, has made a rare public confession about his personal life, declaring that he has stopped fathering children outside committed relationships.

The award-winning artist made the disclosure while addressing the audience ahead of his performance at the MC EdoPikin Undiluted with StarBoy and Legends show in Benin City.

Speaking candidly, 2Baba said he has decided to put an end to a pattern that has long defined public perceptions of his private life.

“But see, I get confession. I dey make this confession everywhere I go now to set the record straight. I don stop to dey do that kind of thing, I don stop to dey give belle anyhow. I swear, ask anybody now, they will tell you that I’m innocent,” the singer said in pidgin English.

The singer has often been in the spotlight over his relationships and children with multiple partners. His first baby mama, Sumbo Adeoye, had two sons with him—Zion and Nino—before their relationship ended around 2009.

His second baby mama, Pero Adeniyi, later had three children with the music icon between 2006 and 2012.

2Baba was also married to actress Annie Macaulay-Idibia, with whom he has two daughters. Their marriage, which began publicly in 2012, ended in divorce in 2025.

More recently, the singer welcomed another child with his new partner, Natasha Osawaru, amid reports of a controversial marriage.
